January 1st, 2009 Bai 2008, Hai 2009! (Year 2008 Recap)

NOTE: This is a scheduled post, I’m now probably at my friend’s house celebrating new year lolol!

Anyway, year 2008 has been a ‘not bad’ year for me. Lots of ups and downs.
No matter what, I’ve gained a lot during 2008. More friends, more money(okay maybe less money lolol), more items gained, won a few stuff, participated quite a few events and contests, etc etc…

Most importantly: EXPERIENCE! I really had some great experiences during the year 2008.

Since some of the bloggers i know were doing their 2008 review/recap/flashback or whatever you call it, so I was thinking whether to do one or not. In the end, decided to follow lolol.

Nahh, here’s a recap on what I have done and achieved during the year 2008:

January 2008

- Bought my domain name (bryanlyt.com) on the 2th January but was still using blogspot hosting at that time

- Enrolled into Taylor’s College Petaling Jaya studying Foundation in Mass Communication

- Bought my first laptop (Dell Vostro 1400)

February 2008

- First time going to a broadcasting studio @ Sri Pentas for the One In A Million filming.

- Organized my first college event alongside with my other collegemates.

March 2008

- The release of SPM results which made me kinda disappointed for not trying hard enough.

- Started my driving lessons, eventually I passed my driving test by the end of the month!

April 2008

- Ermmm actually I can’t recall any notable stuff I did during this month ahah! So…… skip! lolol.

May 2008

- Finally switched from blogspot hosting to a wordpress hosting. Still remained using bryanlyt.com

June 2008

- Got picked as one of the 40 bloggers to participate in the Nuffnang Project Trafford campaign.

- Me and my collegemates organized our second event of the year in which we had Pete Teo as our guest speaker.

July 2008

- Finally got my FIRST nuffnang cheque!

- Bought myself a Sony Ericsson W910i

August 2008

- “SmashpOp Pimps You” contest results was announced

- Participated in Nuffnang’s MINI Counter-Strike competition @ World Cyber Games 2008, Mid Valley Convention Centre.

- Won a pair of Avril Lavigne concert tickets from Hotlink and went for it.

September 2008

- Bought my first DSLR camera and chose the Sony Alpha A300 over Canon 1000D!

- Won a Samsung 32″ LCD TV from Nuffnang’s Timothy Tiah for winning the WCG’08 post-event blog entry thingy.

October 2008

- Auditioned for the Sony Double Exposure web-reality show and eventually I made it thru!

November 2008

- Selected to participate in the Samsung INNOV8 Run

- My foundation course in college ended, need to wait till degree starts in February 2009

- Attended the H-Factor Creative Youth Workshop 2008

- Received my SECOND nuffnang cheque!

- Went for the Nuffnang Sharing Session with a few more chosen bloggers @ Italiannies, The Gardens

December 2008

- My Birthday lolol!

- Got free passes and attended the Malaysia International Fashion Week show

- Went for the Sony VAIO Launch @ Sunway Surf Beach with some of the Double Exposure gang

- Went for Lowyat.NET Bloggers’ Gathering @ KLCC

- Got invited to Nuffnang’s Kakiis Nite Out @ MOS Euphoria

- and recently, just bought my new HVL-F42AM flash for my Sony Alpha A300 camera!

Aaaaaahhhhhhh finally. So panjang lebar. Ahaha!

Well just hope that the year 2009 would be a lot more better than year 2008!
