EVENT: ZEN Star Chef – Media & Blogger Food Review Session
VENUE: ZEN Secret Recipe @ Sooka Sentral
DATE: 4th July 2009 (Saturday)
TIME: 2 pm – 5 pm
Was invited for a food tasting/review session among the media & food bloggers.
Nigel, Dustyhawk, Zoeyve came along with me as well.
These are the six star talents in which their culinary creations were being sampled for us to be reviewed!
(L-R:) Alson Khor, Peter Pang, Jeff Wang, Trevor Pang, Christopher Wan Sageng, Emil Farez
The main course…
(Clockwise L-R)
1. Roasted Moroccan Chicken with Harrissa & Sambal, Curried Couscous and Mixed Green Salad
(chicken was tender, not bad)
2. Pan Fried Salmon serve with Mango Hollandaise Sauce
(salmon texture was kinda dry, but combination of yam & salmon was not bad)
3. Baked Cheese Thai Curry Chicken Fried Rice
(ordinary, plain, nothing special)
4. Hot Pot Braised Chicken
(ordinary, tasted like my mum’s dish LOL!)
5. Fish Tempura & Beans serve with Pumpkin Curry Dip
(tempura turned soft & soggy, pumpkin curry dip was okay)
The desserts!!! *drools*
1. Kalamansi Cheesecake
(actually i can’t remember how this tasted like, probably because it tasted no good that’s why i forgotten about it.. ahaha nahh just kidding 
)
2. Chilled Strawberry Cheesecake
(Not really a strawberry fan, but yeah it tasted okayyy)
3. Black Sesame Oreo Cheesecake
(i’m not fond of the combination of black sesame & oreo, and i guess if it was served chilled cold it should taste better)
4. Trio Mousse
(this is nice! one of my favourite!)
5. Pineapple and Clove Mousse
(i like this as well! if you’re a pineapple tarts fan, you should like this!)
6. Banana Chocolate Slice
(i’ve tasted better banana chocolate cake than this lol)
Ahh well, good thing I didn’t eat anything beforehand even though i was so hungry! Because overall the food being served there was niceeee!

Wow, nice pics there. I had the Trio Mousse in Glenmarie Holiday Inn. LOL. It was pretty fattening though — which is excellent for you.
