Or Michael. I believe it was a tale about faith, not necessarily in God. But in Humanity as well. In scriptures God is told to be Loving and Wrathful. Within the context of the film God was portrayed as loving, but losing faith in humanity which has lost faith in itself. The owner of the truck stop lost faith in God and the world, the waitress that works there lost faith in herself, so on and so forth. The only two characters that kept their faith were Michael the angel who fell, and Jeep. I felt that the movie wasn’t about God. Or Michael. In addition the idea of the movie seems as if god was testing the angels just as he tests us. However the idea portrayed is a bit extreme and blasphemous. actually i watched the movie it does not seem as an attack on God, in fact i felt that the plot reminded me of the parable of the lost or the prodigal son were Gabriel represents the son who stayed behind and Michael was the lost son. There is no such thing as angels fight/defending for humans! Our human very own free will ... would be sufficient to do the job. Hell or heaven, our choice...
