Why do i like Kpop?! I don’t just like it, I LOVE it! till a point that it’s taking over my life, driving my parents crazy as well…
Pop music usually attracts youth, same goes for the korean pop music industry, and they do have so many fan girls and boy as young as 8 years old and middle ages. the thing is, kpop music that are release always has a catchy tone along with catchy dance steps that makes me wanna sing along and dance to the beat which are as good as those Hollywood productions or even better!
continue
Another thing is, hasn’t anyone notice that the kpop idols are getting much more younger? Well i have,I have to salute to these youngster that are about the same age as i am or even younger, being able to realize their dream and be so successful at it. Being able to cope with their hectic schedule and studies is just crazy but it is what they have been doing, Which makes me appreciate their music much more, and because of that, they have also inspire me to work harder to make my dreams a reality.
KPOP is My daily vitamin to keep me smiling & living life

Why I love KPop?
I like KPop because KPop changed my life. KPop is nothing but being huge part of my life now. KPop is not about music but comes along with sense of humor, brotherhood, friendship and lastly, what we call as FAMILY. Not only all KPop idols live as a family but fandom lives like as family too, helping each fansclub. I’ve gained so much knowledge by handling club, growing up by idolizing them and try to learn the positive side of these idols. I like them not because of their looks, but their passion towards music, hardwork, personality and angelic voice. Compared to other Pop songs (such as CPop, JPop, EPop), they are incomparable with KPop especially when comes to ballad and love songs. Without knowingly, tears will stream down and follow with the flow of the song.
Kpop allows me to share ideas, space and my thoughts. KPop rock my life.
*Bryan, I’m here ! Waves!*
Less than three hours to go before i email the winner for B2ST / BEAST showcase passes! How to choose ah lol? http://is.gd/d0Wwx

Q: Why do you like K-POP?
A: Every human being on this planet call earth are different in their own ways. We all have different taste in things. But as for some of us, we share the same interest which is K-POP music!! As for me, I like K-POP because when there is anything related to the K-POP world a spark inside me will make my nerve cells send nerve impulses to my brain which will cause my brain to send instructions to my whole body and get me excited and move along with the rhythm eventhough it is my first time hearing the song. The words to the K-POP music enables me to exercise my brain as it makes my brain read the Korean, romanization and translation of the lyrics. In the world of K-POP, the dance steps for every song leaves a mark on my brain as when a word from the lyrics of any song appears in my daily life, my body will start moving according to the dance steps….. Gee….(Gee…Gee…Gee…Gee…*dances Gee*) Isn’t it a “Mystery” “Y” the K-POP world brings
“Butterfly” to our life as K-POP “MUZIK” have “magic” like “Abracadabra” that will give us a “SHOCK” which “NO ONE” but “only you” will listen to it “again and again”….
why i like KPOP???
okey…I like Kpop totally because I thought the idols were all GAY!!hahahaha….okey…relax~~that was my initial reason…how stupid I am…but honestly now, Kpop is my way of life, MUSIC, DRAMA, FILM, GOSSIPS etc…It is all I think about daily!
thats all i guess~~
why u ask???
okey…I like Kpop totally because I thought the idols were all GAY!!hahahaha….okey…relax~~that was my initial reason…how stupid I am…but honestly now, Kpop is my way of life, MUSIC, DRAMA, FILM, GOSSIPS etc…It is all I think about daily!

Why do I like K-pop?
because of the language, the rhythm of songs and the dance.
although i dont understand korean language, the rhythm of the songs make me want to sing the songs. every dance steps have their difficulties, in kpop, they have some easy moves for someone that cant dance like me.. XDD
Why do you like K-Pop?
I like k-pop because it is a unique genre which manage to attract youngsters nowadays and it has unleashed a kind of ‘virus’ through the whole world as it managed to infect me too! k-pop is really different compare to pop genre generally..this is perhaps due to the fact that it comes with great packages such as nice beats and rhythms lies in the songs coupled with cute, good-looking,talented and great dancer kind of talents and their aspiring backgrounds which inspires others. the IDOLS did not meant for entertainment only but they provide so much more than that as they give hopes and reasons for others especially the fans to learn the values in life and the challenges that must be conquer in order to achieve SUCCESS. Therefore, k-pop is indeed one of a kind and offers so much more other than music~
K-pop you say?
Well the real reason would actually be a ” mystery ” (by B2ST/BEAST), but I have to admit that it makes my world go ” Bingeul Bingeul ” (by U-Kiss). K-Pop gives me ” two different tears” (by Wonder Girls/WG) and leaves me going ” Y ” (by MBLAQ). I can’t tell ” Lies ” (by Big Bang), K-pop makes me go ” OH! ” (by SNSD), without them I would have ” Insomnia ” (by Wheesung). You can’t help but say ” Love Ya ” (by SS501), ” Without U ” (by 2PM) ” I’m a Loner ” (by CN Blue). K-pop is just burning with ” Passion ” (by Se7en) and surely is my ” Ear Candy ” (by Baek Ji-young). I can’t stop going ” Ring Ding Dong ” (by SHINee) till I can’t “Breathe” (by G Dragon). They are ” The Leaders ” (by G-Dragon, CL & Teddy) and this is no ” Secret” (by SECRET). You won’t be left feeling ” Sorry Sorry ” (by Super Junior), or going all ” I Don’t Care ” (by 2NE1). “HUH” (by 4Minute), so what do you say “Mister” (by Kara)? “U Go Girl” (by Lee Hyori) ?
OMGee! nice one! i thought of this exact same idea but not sure if i can enter more than once…><

hi there bryan.
Why do you like kpop?
Kpop has anaddicting effect. I knew about k-pop when i first heard it from a friend, i didnt know much at first but now, it seems im obsessed with kpop !
I also like Kpop because they can sing and dance live, i really respect Kpop singers. I also think that Kpop singers vocals are really good, they have been trained before. they went through rough times and they still try their best ! they really stand out to the crowd and their music just attracts me, not just me, but millions of others outside too
songs of kpop are sooo.. catchy ! their dance are different from others. xD Kpop also teaches me to be confident with myself. i dont think its just me, im sure for any other Kpop fans out there too
im sorry if my answer is too long.
Jweisung hamnida.
Conclusion,
their music is just awesome. it really gives you the confidence to stand out.
well
hope its at least ok ~
Why do I like K-pop?…mmm…this is what happened to me…
6 years ago, I managed to get good results in my SPM. so my dad suggest that I go to S.Korea to futher my study…I said “what?korea?…so boring.there’s nothing there” so I end up studying in UTM Johor.hahaha. Well, guess what…2 years later, I saw SHINHWA MV “Brand New” and I go…OMG!!! this guys are so cool. They can sing and dance so well…the next thing I know, k-pop world had invaded my life…there’s never an end to it. K-pop had totally changed my life and became kpop maniac…their songs, their music and their dance were very unique to me. You can’t see anywhere else in the world. So my playlist starts to fill with kpop song…DBSK,BIG BANG,WONDER GIRLS, FLY TO THE SKY, EPIC HIGH,SNSD,2PM,2AM…you just name it and the list just keeps getting longer. No more english songs. Now I’m so obsess to BEAST!!! BEAST IS THE B2ST!!! My day won’t be complete without listening to kpop songs. My mind, my heart and my body just move to the beat.. I really love korean artist. They are really good and talented. Not to mention their humor and face reaction. They just make me laugh. From there I’ve start learning korean language to understand kpop songs, variety shows and k-drama. There are so many different things to explore in the kpop world. My parents just have to bear with my kpop obsession. All my siblings are infected by my kpop world. We start using korean words like “aigoo…ppalli…hwaiting” in the house…hahaha. So now I take back what I have said 6 years ago…now…K-POP IS MY WORLD!!! K-POP rocksss!!!
A Letter To Mom and Dad
Dear Mom and Dad,
I know that this year has been a crazy one so far. So many things were happening both happy and sad yet sometimes I was insensitive of all these. I admit that I am selfish, cold-hearted and so into myself that all I think about this year so far was to attend my favourite kpop boy groups’ events. Super Junior’s concert, U-KISS’s fan meeting, BEAST’s showcase and autograph session, Brian Joo’s fan meeting, Wonder Girls’ live performance and ZE:A’s rumoured Asia Tour. Never before has our beloved country, Malaysia been so popular with kpop artistes and it caused me and many others to be in a delirium.
Earlier this year on the 20th of March, you sent me to my first ever concert, Super Junior’s Super Show 2 Live in Kuala Lumpur. I can never thank you enough for the money spent for the RM458 tickets, for the energy and time spent queuing for the tickets. Thank you. That night was awesome and I was happy that you were happy because I was happy.
But I am greedy, just like any other human being. I did not stop there. On the 17th of May, I persuaded you to send me to the Kuala Lumpur International Airport just to welcome U-KISS to Malaysia. I used the excuse of not being able to attend their fan meeting to go and meet them at the airport. And I had a great time that day too.
As you can see, with all the things that are happening and that are bound to happen this year you found me in my own world, in a state of ecstasy bordering insanity most of the times due to kpop. Sometimes, in the car, you find yourselves forced to listen to kpop songs as I inserted the disc in the player and you nearly never complain. Instead you commented on the songs and the groups’ looks, not understanding why am I so into kpop.
Well, just to get this straight, I will explain to you the reasons I love kpop. It is the least that I could do after all your efforts in fulfilling my kpop-related wishes.
I was never a music listener in the beginning, the only music that I listen being the piano pieces that I learn. It was in the year 2006 that I was introduced to kpop by my table mate. My ‘Kpop Discovery’ journey began with TVXQ and I have come a long way since that eventful day. I have came across many other groups after TVXQ such as Super Junior, SS501, Big Bang, F.T. Island, SHINee, 2AM, 2PM, U-KISS, MBLAQ, BEAST, C.N. Blue, ZE:A, F.Cuz and Dae Guk Nam Ah just to name a few. However, up to this day, I only follow one girl group that being f(x) seemingly because I thought that they are different from all the other girl groups out there.
So, why the conversion? What made me listen to kpop and stuck with it? What is it that I love so much about kpop aside from the good-looking, multi-talented people and the refreshing music?
I love Kpop because Kpop:
1. Wakes me up early in the morning so that I am able to catch the beautiful rising sun (Rising Sun – TVXQ).
Indeed sometimes, to be able to be one of the first to download a new song for a group’s major release, Kpop fans have to wake up early what with the different time zones. This has given them the opportunity to admire the rising sun, one of the things that would make people time and again wonder of God’s amazing creation.
2. Helps to open up happiness (Open Up Happiness [coca-cola commercial] – 2PM) in me despite of everything that is going on around me.
As days go by, one cannot help but notice that the world is getting older and so are people. Time stops for no one and everything gets challenging by the second. Trials from God come in different forms be it examinations, deaths, instant wealth and so many more. Despite whatever that has been happening, kpop fans are still capable to put on a smile and laugh, simply being happy living our lives, enjoying kpop.
3. Teaches me one of the most important life lessons which is to never tell lies (Lies – Big Bang) to anyone, including myself.
People are often told that they should never tell lies. I am sure kpop fans are one of the communities that can never get enough of this message. Being obsessed with kpop, this obsession sometimes leads certain people to tell anything but the truth to experience special indulgences. Satisfaction from grasping things this way is never everlasting so the next time, people think more than twice before committing sins.
4. Makes me believe in a miracle (Miracle – Super Junior).
Life, undoubtedly is hard for most people. These days, people struggle for a lot of things such as money, love, friendship and many more. Kpop fans, especially those who are not living in South Korea find it hard to get close with their idols as kpop was largely centered around South Korea and catered for Koreans. But over the years, the Hallyu wave came and evolutions happen. Now and then, our beloved kpop idols would stop by for a visit at our country further promoting kpop to a global scene. Some kpop fans who have never dreamt of seeing the stars got to meet and have their albums autographed. Many are now believers in a miracle.
5. Gives me hope (I Hope – F.T. Island) when things seem to fail.
It cannot be denied that most kpop followers range from teenagers to young adults. As they are at that crucial phase in life, their lives can be one heck of a drama. These people are pushed beyond their limits so that they can go further than their potential as these days, the world accepts nothing but results close to perfection. But members of kpop groups enlighten these burdened people with the knowledge of their situation. It is known that embarking on a journey to be in the kpop industry is not an easy one. It takes hard work, sheer determination and passion. These group members sacrificed their life, risked what they have got for a dream that they chase endlessly and they prove to everyone that nothing is impossible.
6. Plots crazy plans to shock (Shock – BEAST) me so as to ensure that my life is void of any dull moments.
Almost every month, there is something happening in the kpop world. Be it debuts, comebacks, controversies, concerts, promotional tours, kpop fans have lots to look forward to. Interestingly, I find that the kpop industry somewhat has an invisible structure which everyone follows. For example, a group’s debut usually starts with the members’ teasers, debut music video teaser, debut song release, debut music video release, debut live performance and ends their promotion doing a live performance. Comebacks have almost the same structure too and everything that is released is almost sure to shock fans what with the initial hype surrounding it. Kpop taught its fans to expect the unexpected.
7. Tutors me about relationships and is always there to guide me about love as it is my ultimate love coach (Love Coach – ZE:A).
Be it fast, catchy songs, slow, ballad songs or cool raps, most of the time kpop songs convey messages regarding love. As human beings with feelings, none of us can escape from love, be it falling in love or falling out of love. Love brings many feelings such as joy, sorrow, pain and many more. Being in love is great but being in love with your idol is not great. There are fans who try to convince their idols sign marriage certificates and some are even willing to go further, sending bloody letters. Nevertheless, kpop fans have to face the fact that there is only a low percentage of their idols falling in love with them and that percentage would highly reduce should the fans live outside of Korea. Besides, it is probably not love and just plain old infatuation confused as love.
8. Comforts me when I did wrong (I Did Wrong – 2AM) or found myself in an unwanted situation.
It is normal for people to make mistakes as humans are not perfect. That is why we are taught to be forgiving of others. Accidents happen, misfortunes happen but that is fate, something that was meant to be and we have to accept it and move on. Maybe God has better things in store for us. In the kpop world, a debut song is often hoped to create a huge impact but when things do not happen as hoped, it does not often mean the end of the road. Instead it provides a learning experience in which they are able to identify their strong points and their weak points. It is at this time when they are then forced to thoroughly research for something beyond spectacular. Groups like 2PM and U-KISS did not achieve success with their debut song but that drove them to work harder and 2PM and U-KISS came back stronger with their following songs.
9. Becomes a source of inspiration for me to run (Run – Epik High) and act on what I believe.
Everyone is unique in their own special way. Most kpop fans outside of Korea, especially those who started loving kpop earlier than others would often find themselves a minority among their friends. At that time, it is difficult to spot someone into kpop whom they can discuss current kpop affairs with. It was difficult to locate kpop albums in CD stores and kpop songs were never featured on the television or the radio stations. Even kpop artistes hardly enter the entertainment news on our local newspapers. It taught the fans to be strong and resourceful. They stuck firmly to the ground and sooner than everybody expected, many nations were successfully invaded by the Hallyu wave and kpop became a trend of life. This certainly could not have been achieved without the loyal fans’ unwavering support and their courage to be different from others.
10. Motivates me to get things done as it is simply now or never (Now or Never – C.N. Blue).
Something that has a start ought to have an ending. With every start and every ending, there is always a story that sets it apart from other starts and other endings. For most people it is often the fear of starting or the fear of ending a thing that prevents them from accomplishing triumphs in life. But people have to learn to change and not be afraid of changing or be afraid of executing changes. Time waits for no one and most often than not, the world can be a harsh reality. Kpop taught its fans to be ready to decide on anything at the spur of the moment, be ready to answer yes or no at any moment because that moment is never going to come back and the decision taken could change a person’s entire life. Kpop fans are definitely one of the best learners of the meaning of spontaneity. Whenever we are presented with an opportunity, it is either we take advantage of it or be taken advantage of it. Most importantly, if we want to achieve something, we have to plan it and substantially, start working on it. Kpop artistes proves that what we gain is up to us. We have to be the pilot of our own lives.
These are the reasons I love kpop. Now that you know why I love them so much, do I have your permission to go to BEAST’s showcase and autograph session? I hope you would consider this matter and give me your answer as soon as possible because the event is just around the corner. However, I want you to know that whatever the outcome may be, I would accept your decision with an open heart. Thank you. Let us work hard together!
Yours truly,
Liyana
your daughter.

LIKE IT???Who said I Like it…I LOVE IT!!!!!!!!!!!! It’s part of my life………It’s been the 8th year since I knew KPOP….I know them since I was 12 but I’m not as addicted to it as now….Now, I’m super duper addicted ..ok, left the history lesson for a while…the big reason is I love KPOP is that they’re different to other pop culture. The lyrics doesn’t really too harsh and they seldom use vulgar words…in fact the melody/rhythm is different….. apart from that, most of the singers are trained before they debut. They train in singing, dancing and acting and much more. Thus, there are a lot of artistes that are very skilled in a lot of various field. Also, K pop allows the singer’s personality to shine through and many of them have very fun personalities.
Didn’t you realize KPOP has addictive effect…?Seriously…….it does, once you enter the world of KPOP, you’ll never get out of it easily…
Generally i think that K pop offers better music and vocals…
I like k-pop because of it unique style. The first k-pop song that made me wanted to know about k-pop was Lies from Big Bang. It started when I was in standard five. From that moment when I watched the music video, I have made many research about k-pop. I watched and listened to k-pop songs as many as I can from standard five until now. K-pop songs make my day cheerful eventhough I’ve got bad result for my exam or my fish is dead. I love the k-pop bands especially the boys because there are the most handsome guys i’ve ever seen. I even keep one of Beast member, Gi Kwang’s photo in my purse instead of my photo. I dont care if someday there is a thief steal that purse because I think the thief also will fall in love with him although the thief is a guy because k-pop guys are totally handsome.Even the most handsome guy in my school can’t defeated by them. I proud of myself if I can tell to my fellow friends about k-pop,about their energetic dancing, their powerful songs, their fantastic groups and many more. I know my education is not so good but the Super Junior’s concert last March has made everything changed! I cried everyday to go to the concert. I know I cant afford to buy the ticket plus my parents won’t allow me to go to. But one day my mother changed her mind. She allowed me to see one of my fanatic group but for one condition..I have to get top five in my school, which is really a crazy thing but I knew my love with k-pop cannot stop anything. I studied hard and I successful to do so! Therefore, K-pop makes my life better. And now an opportunity to make me see face to face with my only one boyfriend,Gi-Kwang is infront of me. I dont know how will I be if I dont go to this concert. Their energetic dances also made a very big different changes to my life. Before this,I just a girl who hate dancing because i thought it just irritates me but when i saw k-pop’s dances, my brain changed into 360 degrees. And now, dancing is my hobby.I am also loosing my weight for many kilograms because of their dances. I hardly tried to manage myself to go through their dances eventhough it is hard for me but what can I say more? My love with k-pop can overcome anything.
OMGee! only moment later we will know who won!! I’m freaking out now..><

And the winner is… LiHva!
It was very interesting to see how she linked up all the K-POP song title perfectly into an essay. Yes, you go girl! Congrats lol. Will email you shortly after this.
To the others, thanks a lot for trying! You all deserve a loud applause for your effort! *clap clap clap*
