BEASTLY BEASTLY BEASTLY

Judging from the movie poster, it looked just like another Twilight series. Alex Pettyfer and Vanessa Hudgens, hmmm. Well, hope it’s better than Twilight because I’m gonna watch the movie few days earlier from the local cinema release date thanks to Cinema Online Malaysia.

It looks like the refresh of the latest MacBook Pro 2011 lineup is drawing nearer as more and more leaked news purging out from various sources. It is believed that the new MacBook Pro is set to get official today in conjunction with Steve Jobs’ birthday. Ahead of Apple’s announcement, various leaked specs of the 13-inch MBP model have hit the world wide web.

Leaked specs for the 13-inch MBP:
Intel Sandy Bridge Core i5 two cores at 2.3 GHz 3 MB cache
4 GB of DDR3 1333 MHz
Hard Drive 320 GB 5400 rpm
Screen 13.33 “glossy 1280×800
Intel Graphics GPU HD 3000 with 384MB of RAM shared with main memory
Camera HD FaceTime
Superdrive 8x
Thunderbolt yet compatible with the I / O devices and high speed MiniDisplayport
SDXC Card slot, Firewire 800 and two USB 2.0
Digital Audio Output
Integrated Ethernet
Backlit keyboard
Size and weight 32.5 x22, 7×2, 41 cm, 2.04 kg
One of the notable new features for the MacBook Pro 2011 is the introduction of Intel’s Light Peak technology, rebranded as Thunderbolt (providing data transfer speeds of 10Gb per second — with speeds of up to 100Gb/s in the future). Apart from that, there is the latest Intel Sandy Bridge Core i5 processor, 4GB RAM, 320GB HDD, FaceTime HD camera, SDXC slot, Intel HD3000 graphics (15-inch & 17-inch models might be paired with AMD ATi Graphics instead of Intel).
To be honest, if i was aiming for the 13-inch model i would think it’s a downgrade if there’s no discrete graphics. Sandy Bridge Intel HD3000 graphics is only slightly better than G310M, definitely below GT320M from the previous MacBook Pro. And how could MacBook Air have higher resolution than MacBook Pro 13-inch lol?
Now.. i can’t wait for the official announcement to see if the leaked specs above are genuine. Can’t wait to try the best mac casinos online on my future MacBook Pro / Hackintosh! Well I am still pondering whether to build a Hackintosh rig to save money + higher specs OR to get MacBook Pro for the portability. What do you think?

I haven’t seen Maroon 5 LIVE in concert; now that Maroon5 is coming down to Malaysia for their concert tour (Maroon 5 Live in Malaysia) on the 29 April 2011, I am really looking forward to attending it because I’ve been a fan of their unique tunes. Now guess what? Maxis in partnership with HTC has made it possible for us to get FREE concert tickets for Maroon 5 because of their latest promotions! Lol, did I get your attention there?

All you need to do is to visit their ongoing roadshow @ Fahrenheit 88, Bukit Bintang on the 18-20 February 2011. Various HTC phones will be offered at the Maxis roadshow and you can buy discounted concert tickets or as I said, redeem free concert tickets (worth RM255) from the roadshow!
