Last week, Gelare and Advertlets invited us to try out their new upcoming Valentine waffles and pancakes.

Gelare has always been known for their ice-cream with real flavour and no artificial ingredients which guarantees to deliver a smile on every ice-cream lover.
In Gelare Cafe Malaysia, there are many varieties of food that are being served in the cafe, such as sandwiches, muffins, waffles, pies, and cakes as well as some hot and cold beverages; apart from the deliciously mouth-watering Gelare ice cream items. Thus, do drop by Gelare for a coffee break instead of the usual coffee joints available

Cheers!

Have you heard of DOORSTEP MALAYSIA – Malaysia’s best and biggest online retail grocery shopping?

You might have heard of their advertisements on the radio in the past weeks (FlyFM & HotFM) and some of the local papers. As their tag line suggests, Online Grocery On-Time Delivery! They have recognized the potential of online shopping and set up an online service to enable customers to order a wide range of grocery and household items from the comfort of their own home. Customers can now do your grocery shopping anytime, anywhere without the agony of being stuck in traffic, throwing away precious times in queues, going through looking for parking space and the torment of lugging those heavy grocery bags. Doorstep has its very own refrigerating facility to keep everything fresh and their delivery coverage covers a wide range of areas within Klang Valley. And here’s the interesting part – the whole process consists of only THREE simple steps!

I have tried out Doorstep online grocery shopping service myself and here’s how I did it:
1. SHOP / ADD TO CART

Choose from their extensive list of products, fresh and frozen grocery items and many more. I selected the products I wish to purchase and added the quantity into my cart.
2. REGISTER / LOGIN

Log in to my account. If you’re a first time customer and do not have an account yet, then register an account (alternatively, you can do this step first before choosing your items)
3. CHECKOUT / PAYMENT

I reviewed my list of items in the cart. I also selected the desired time slot that I want the delivery guy to come. Once confirmed, I clicked ‘Checkout’ and proceed with my payment (you can make your payment through credit card/internet banking/cash on delivery)
And guess what? Doorstep delivery guy called me up the next morning saying they are on their way to deliver the goods to my house! And surprisingly they arrived sharp at 11am (which was the time i requested because i would have been awake by then) Kudos to them for being right on time!

Look at the stuff I ordered from Doorstep Malaysia!

I just realized everything I ordered was food and beverage related. It’s such a pity that I munch n slurp so many junk food but yet I still don’t grow fat. Yay or Nay?
Save all the hassle, just sit back home, relax and let Doorstep settle for you, everything would be in order

Make this Valentine a special celebration for your loved one. At Holiday Villa Hotel & Suites Subang, they provide just the right ambience to get you into the mood for love which include their special food menu for Valentine’s Day. Some of us bloggers & press were invited to Holiday Villa Hotel & Suites Subang on Tuesday to get a tasting preview of their upcoming Valentine Dinner menu.

Tony Sabastian, Executive Assistant Manager of Holiday Villa Subang decided to narrow down their extensive selection of Valentine’s menu and make it into a four course meal for us. The dinner set consists of Chinese & Italian fusion from two of their finest in-house restaurants namely The Inn of Four Seasons Chinese Restaurant and CIBO Ristorante Italiano.

We were served with this appetizer named Grilled Unagi Onigiri with Scallop and Fish Paste Coated with Alamon Flake served with Yuzu Orange Wasabe Mayo. The Unagi Onigiri and the Alamon Falke coated Fish Paste was fine but I didn’t really fancy the Yuzu Orange Wasabe Mayo though

Next in line was the Double Boiled Chinese Style Chicken Broth served with Kumomoto Oyster and Lychee Jam. The chicken broth soup tasted good but the Lychee Jam on the Oyster was just abit odd for me (the lychee jam tasted a little spicy too, like whaat? lychee, jam, spicy?) Thus, I scrapped off the lychee jam and ate the oyster alone.

Finally the main course arrived. The Beef Medaglione al Forno topped with Mushroom Ragout, Reduction of Berries Balsamice and Raisin Bordelaise Sauce was pretty good. The meat was tender and went well with the Raisin Bordelaise Sauce. At least I was satisfied with this dish

Then came our dessert of the day, Chocolate Cheese Mousse and Strawberry Dipped served with Caramelized Granny Smith Apple. To be honest, there’s not much to shout about this dessert. It was just… okay

The person who made all the dishes possible for us to makan that night – Chef Azram!
So if you’re wondering about the packages and pricing for spending your Valentine’s Day in Holiday Villa Subang, price ranges from RM98 to RM180 per person. You can check out more from their Holiday Villa Website & Facebook page. Alternatively, you could drop a comment here if you would like to inquire anything then I shall pass your inquiry to them and reply you as soon as humanly possible
