Are you a Blues fan? If you are, then you should already know by now that Chelsea FC is coming down to Malaysia for a friendly football match against our Malaysia XI team (Harimau Malaya) on July 21, 2011 @ National Stadium Bukit Jalil, Kuala Lumpur.

This isn’t the first time Chelsea FC is visiting Malaysia as a team as they were part of the Premier League Asia Trophy tour back in year 2003. They also played against our Harimau Malaya in year 2008 in Shah Alam Stadium where they beat Malaysia XI 2-0 with goals from Nicolas Anelka and Ashley Cole. This year, Chelsea FC is one of the three big Premier League teams (the other two: Arsenal & Liverpool) to be visiting Malaysia and spreading some English Premier League mood to us while we patiently await for the new EPL season to commence this coming August. Their tour in Malaysia would also benefit our national team to realize (and probably enhance) their football skill standards.

Now, have you obtained your Malaysia XI vs Chelsea FC match tickets already? I’ve already gotten mine courtesy of Noobie.my, but also we have to thank Samsung Malaysia for making this happen aite!

Last Tuesday, I was invited alongside 4 other food bloggers for a scrumptious buffet & dessert cake tasting session at the Cinnamon Coffee House @ One World Hotel.

The place looks pretty good and of course we were served with a variety of food choices in their buffet line. I was too hungry and went ahead grabbing as much food as I could that night and there were few pretty good dishes served in the line! I almost forgotten that we were going to have 11 different types of cakes and desserts after our buffet dinner so by the time I was finished and I saw the cakes being served, my expression was -> :O ‘oh no, i ate a little too much earlier’.

But anyway the cakes were very nice and there wasn’t any much problem finishing the cakes especially when it’s delicious!

I love this cake above! Petit Antone – if you like the taste of Ferrero Rocher chocolate, you’ll like this cake because it tasted almost similar! Their Red Velvet cake is also pretty good but I’ve tasted better somewhere else. As for the rest of the cakes, some were pretty good for me but some were just not up to par. It’s either a little dry for my liking (i like moist cakes lol) or something else. But overall, I went back home as a happy kid cos I love desserts & cakes and I got to try out 11 different varieties of cakes in a night!

The cakes are priced at RM12++ per slice / RM90++ for the whole cake; however they are having this Deli counter special offer where you can get a 50% discount on ALL breads & cakes at the counter from 3.00pm onwards daily. Thus, make your way to Cinnamon Coffee House @ One World Hotel for your hi-tea session after few rounds of shopping at the mall! It’ll be worthwhile seeing that you could get 50% discount on the breads & cakes after 3pm

Tapas Bistro & Bar is an all day dining restaurant and bar serving delectable Asian and Continental fare. The fabric and wood textured interior creates an inviting and soothing dining ambiance whilst its cosy layout facing the pool terrace is the perfect venue to wind down after a long day with good company and selection of drinks from its extensive beverage menu. So last few weeks, I was invited by ILoveDiscounts to obtain a worthwhile experience at their Tapas Bistro & Bar as well as to tour around their variety of rooms at Micasa Hotel.

A mix of local and western cuisine is available at Tapas Bistro & Bar @ Micasa Hotel. We were greeted by the ever friendly Ms Pamela as our ‘host’ for the night and had a pretty fruitful discussion chat throughout.

We were served with the Tapas Caesar Salad as our appetizer to start off the night. I’m not really a salad person, but hey this was good with all the anchovies, shaved parmesan, caesar sauce served on top of the crunchy Romains lettuce.

One of Tapas Bistro & Bar’s specialty is the dish below - Prawns, Creamy Mushrooms and Meatballs. If you’re not allergic to prawns or whatnot and it’s your first time to Tapas, they recommend you to order this dish.

But the dish I ordered was Nasi Goreng Kampung… Typical, cos I’m a rice person and I need to eat rice everyday (I hadn’t eaten rice that whole day! Lol) haha.

After our food, Ms Pamela Ong brought us for a tour around Micasa Hotel and had a look at their rooms offered.

Pretty impressive I would say. From the exterior of Micasa Hotel, I wouldn’t have imagined they have such big and cozy rooms inside. Their facilities in every room is tip-top, ready to move in anytime already because they have practically almost everything you need (like your own house). Even more equipped than some of the five star hotels.

TuneTalk is having ‘Open 4 Incubus’ contest where the winner will get to open for Incubus during their concert here in Stadium Negara, KL. Interested applicants are required to register themselves via Open 4 Incubus Facebook application in TuneTalk’s Facebook page. Bands are required to upload either a music video or an audio recording of their vocal performance on Youtube and share the link via the application during the Entries period. Each band is allowed to submit ONE application only. By submitting your entry and in the event that a band is shortlisted to the Top 5 list, the band needs to attend the Finale Ground event (otherwise it will result in instant disqualification).

Voting can be done through voting application on Facebook fan page OR via SMS (TuneTalk subscribers only). Incubus will decide on the final selection and contribute 40% of the overall score. Incubus will make the announcement of the winning band during their media press conference.
