Last Saturday, Advertlets bloggers had an awesome time playing futsal with Adam C & JD together with the rest of the Castrol Football Crazy crew @ Sports Planet, Subang Jaya. With the hot Castrol ambassadors as well as some of our very own Advertlets girl bloggers-cheerleader at the spectators stand, semangat lah tu nak main futsal! Lulz
The whole day was filled with fun and laughter, not forgetting some crazy moments too (hence the show’s name – Castrol Football CRAZY). A player got red carded due to not scoring a simple straightforward goal, another player got yellow carded for calling “referee kayu”, a team was awarded penalty after the opposition goalkeeper saved their goal (wtf?), and urmm… i got red carded for accidentally blasting the ball onto Michelle’s face (i’m sorry i didn’t mean it T_T)
So anyway we were divided into three teams and my teammates consist of Donovan Chan, Vernon Chan, Mike Yip, Melvin, Brigette Liberty Yu, and myself. Do you think we had what it takes to beat other teams? Do you wanna know which team won? Catch Castrol Football Crazy to watch the highlight coverage of the event day on ESPN (Channel 812) – 3rd and 10th February 2011 (Thursdays 8PM). Catch us in action on TV yo!
The first ever night paintball tournament in Asia Pacific – Energizer Night Strike is organized by Energizer Malaysia and features seven-minute ‘speedball’ rounds incorporating a ‘capture the flag’ scenario, played completely in the dark with only UV lighting and fluorescent paintballs to complement Energizer‘s new Energy Beam brand image.
Team A.C.E. fought off seasoned players and amateurs alike last Friday, Saturday and Sunday, which saw a total of 19 teams battle each other over 85 gruelling rounds of night paintball to emerge as winners of the inaugural Energizer Night Strike @ Xtion Paintball Park, Bukit Jalil last Sunday. They won RM20,000 in cash and the champion title for Asia’s first night paintball event by Energizer Malaysia. Close at the heels of A.C.E.’s win was Double R and Black Cell, who won RM10,000 and RM5,000 respectively as runner-ups.
According to Mike Foong, Managing Director of Energizer Malaysia Sdn Bhd, “In line with this, we wanted to create an event that truly articulates the passion behind Energizer’s ‘Keep Challenging, Keep Winning’ attitude while going out of the box and bringing the new EnergizerEnergy Beam to life. I’m proud to say that the Energizer Night Strike is the stunning result”.
The Energizer Night Strike is one in a calendar of groundbreaking Energizer events this year including the upcoming Energizer Night Race on the 16th of April, which will give runners a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to race on the Sepang International F1 Circuit – sharing the same track as international motorsports stars. Galactic Laser – the newly launched laser tag arena at Mid Valley Megamall offers an experience that encompasses your senses of sight, sound and touch. Thanks to Advertlets, a group of bloggers got to play laser tag @ Galactic Laser MV few weeks ago.
Since this is a non-contact sport and all the scores and status updates are fed to you via speakers on your vests, it allows the participants to fully focus on just enjoying themselves. And to prevent any rowdy behaviour, there are marshalls in the arena at all times. Another advantage is the arena being fully air-conditioned and sheltered from all weather vagaries – letting you play come rain or shine and even after the sun goes down, right up till midnight!
The game’s pretty similar to paintball, but you can enjoy the fun without the pain of paintball pellets hitting you, splattered paint and muddy grounds!
Those who have not experienced it, you should try it out one day! Check out their website at www.galacticlaser.com. They are located in Mid Valley, 3rd Floor, North Court, in between Megakids and Celebrity Fitness MV.
All pictures above belong to the respective bloggers who brought their cameras that day, thank you. I didn’t bring mine so had to steal pictures
Advertlets is holding a blogging contest opened to ALL Malaysian bloggers and the prize is of course, the Samsung Galaxy Tab! All thanks to Samsung Malaysia
Although I would like to win this for myself, but heyy we cannot be that selfish to share this opportunity right? So yay, let’s all participate in this Advertlets contest and see who’s gonna win the Samsung Galaxy Tab from MESamsung Malaysia!
So what is it that should convince you to buy (or to win) the Samsung Galaxy Tab?
From my point of view, here are some of the advantages:
1. Portability
Here’s the thing about tablets: size is the whole point! I’ve tried my friend’s “Apple-you-know-what-tablet”, no doubt it is nice to use. However, typing on a 9.7″ screen while holding it for an extended period of time certainly is not the easiest thing to do. You need to place it on a surface which kinda defeats the purpose of “on-the-go” at times; i mean, what if you’re in an outdoor situation and there is no table surface for you to place your “Apple-you-know-what-tablet”? So troublesome!
Now with Samsung Galaxy Tab, it is a lot smaller than the “Apple-you-know-what-tablet” and it makes carrying around the device a whole lot easier! You can even slot it into you back pocket or the compartment in your jacket. So convenient!
.
2. Productivity
Web browsing experience on the 3G and WiFi-equipped Samsung Galaxy Tab as well as enjoying all forms of multimedia content and continuous communication via e-mail, video call & social networking certainly makes the tablet a powerful yet handy device to carry around. You don’t even need to lug your bulky laptop around anymore! Just ‘swype’ out the Samsung Galaxy Tab from your pocket and increase your productivity on the go! It is also Flash-enabled which allows you to watch YouTube (unlike the “Apple-you-know-what-tablet” which doesn’t support Flash)!
.
3. Front and Rear Camera
“The lack of a camera on a tablet device is like the lack of copy-paste function on a smartphone” (TechMarketing2010) Thus, Samsung Galaxy Tab has a decent 3 megapixel camera with autofocus and flash and is certainly one of the deal breaker in deciding to purchase a tablet device.
Not only that, it also has a front facing 1.3 megapixel camera which allows you to perform video calling with anyone! Even with this function, it has already added a serious advantage to the Samsung Galaxy Tab over that “Apple-you-know-what-tablet”.
P/S: Take a look at this video below, a girl proposes to her boyfriend over video calling using the Samsung Galaxy Tab! (the video is in Cantonese though)
.
Actually, there are plenty more reasons that I have in mind! But then again, I have yet to explore the Samsung Galaxy Tab myself thus I can’t comment much on it YET. Later people might say I’m writing ‘crap’ because I have yet to hands-on the device. So yeah, this is WHY I DESERVE TO WIN A SAMSUNG GALAXY TAB! Lol.
Okay so here’s the thing… since I’ve told you about this contest, would you mind dropping a comment in this post to support me? I need as many comments as possible to win this thing. I promise I’ll let you play with my Samsung Galaxy Tab IF i win it? Lol =D
