Wong Fu Productions (WFP) will be visiting Malaysia on February 4th, 2012 @ Taylor’s University as part of their WFP Southeast Asia Tour!

Like seriously… If you don’t know them, you should go check out WongFuProductions YouTube channel and their videos will self-explain to you on why are they such a hype all around. The WFP founders – Wesley Chan, Ted Fu and Philip Wang have been making viral videos since 2003, before the start of YouTube. They’re a rising independent production company that has been at the forefront as an influential pioneer in utilizing new media distribution and creating projects with a positive message. They have been featured at a number of national and international film festivals, including the Cannes Film Festival. MTV Europe Music Awards (EMA) 2011 was hosted by the multi-talented singer and actress, also the girlfriend of Justin Bieber (grr, damnit!), Selena Gomez (my oh-so-cute-teenage-crush haha!) The MTV EMA 2011 is packed with greatness as they manage to snag the likes of Justin Bieber, Lady Gaga, David Guetta, Bruno Mars, Coldplay, LMFAO, Red Hot Chilli Peppers, Jessie J, etc as performers and my teenage crush (Selena Gomez) as their awesome host for the night LIVE from Belfast, Ireland!

This year’s big winner at the MTV Europe Music Awards in Belfast was the incomparable Lady Gaga, bagging home four awards including Best Female, Best Song, Best Video for ‘Born This Way’ as well as Biggest Fans.

There’s never a dull moment at the MTV EMA! The lineup of amazing performers just keeps rolling as the likes of Red Hot Chili Peppers;  Snow Patrol; Justin Bieber; Selena Gomez and the Scene; David Guetta with Taio Cruz, Ludacris, and Jessie J; and our legendary Global Icon, Queen, featuring goosebump-inducing vocals by Adam Lambert.

This is also the first time that MTV EMA has a Worldwide Act category to showcase the biggest acts of each region. Fans will be able to vote for an artist/group within five different regions (Asia Pacific, North America, Latin America, Africa/India/Middle East and Europe). The nominee from each region with the most votes will then battle for the “Worldwide Act” distinction at the EMA show in Belfast. A big deserved congratulations to the VIPs, Big Bang! The K-Pop group bagged the award winning the other nominees such as Britney Spears (North America), Lena (Europe), Abdelfattah Grini (Africa/India/Middle East) and Restart (Latin America).

The other award winners ain’t small feat too, considering the many amazing artists who were up for the awards! Among some of the EMA winners were Lady Gaga, Canadian-pop singer Justin Bieber who had his new hairstyle displayed, the amazingly talented Bruno Mars, the ever-so-rocking band Thirty Seconds To Mars, and many more..

Pavilion KL receives Outstanding Achievement Award at the inaugural Kuala Lumpur Mayor’s Tourism Awards World’s premier shopping destination celebrates 21st industry award

Project FLiP (For Love in People) was conceptualized by  a group of your average run of the mill Malaysians looking to prepare themselves or be part of the progression of our nation. Through this creative avenue, we aim to devise and execute unique fund raising event ideas that go against the norms of a society known for playing it safe. By doing so, we hope to bring about a sense of realization, appreciation and inspire those more privileged to contribute and help improve the general welfare for those less fortunate than them.

Established in 2010, Project FLiP began in Melbourne Australia, by a group of friends working together outside of their daily 9 to 5 routine  to carry out charity events to aid and assist natural disaster funds all over the world. What began as an outlet for individuals to display  their skill sets outside the scope of their everyday job, quickly transformed into a committed passion for the love in people as Project FliP. In 2010 Project FLiP successfully raised RM 30,000 through three events.

This year, Project FLiP  is reigniting their passion for the love in people by organizing yet another charity event together with Icepeak Solutions, Rootz KL and Three Sixty Sdn Bhd  – The Beatles Unplugged.

The event dated for Saturday May 14, will be happening at Lot 10, Rootz KL. The event will comprise of local Malaysian bands  performing their renditions of Beatles songs as well as playing their best hits. Headliners for the night Bittersweet and Rezza Salleh as well as recent ‘Talent Experiment’ winners Mama Sons, formerly known as Project Lol-e, Ask me Again, Darren Ashley Band and Decimal will be gracing this event.

Tickets will be RM 20 per entry and RM 250 per table. All proceeds and profit made from this event will be donated to the Japanese Relief Fund through Red Crescent Malaysia.
