FAR EAST MOVEMENT was in town last weekend for its MOOVMENT 2011 tour in Malaysia. With their infectious tunes such as ‘Like A G6‘ and ‘Rocketeer‘ being played like a broken record by almost all the major radio stations across Malaysia, it would not be completely difficult to fathom why and how the FM boys have garnered a growing and steadfast group of fans and followers, on our local shores; and it was clearly shown during their live show held in KL Live on Saturday.

With the non-stop heavy beats and sound, Far East Movement had the crowd at the venue pumping whole night long. The show was opened by various DJ performers such as DJ Crystal, DJ Junior, DJ Ken, DJ Jakeman, and with DJ Earworm closing off the show for the LA Bass group. The Dirty Bass finally kicked off and took on the stage at a much delayed timing but it was all worth the wait for most of us!

Kev Nish, Prohgress, J-Splif, DJ Virman and the rest of their crew kept the energy going high throughout the performance with their awesome blend of hip-hop, pop, electro and dance music.

Truth to be told, I didn’t really pay much attention to Far East Movement‘s music apart from their chart-topping tunes. After the show, I’m sold – I’m a fan of their sick mix (DJ Virman does some sick mixtapes his own too, ranging from hip-hop, dance, pop, dubstep, etc. Go check it out!)

The hype had been going on for days… Youtube sensation duo, Janice & Sonia, also known as JAYESSLEE were down in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia on Wednesday night!

You’ve seen them on Youtube, you’ve seen them on other social media sites… now, you can see them LIVE in KL! In fact, the showcase is happening in another few more hours! Come on over to PWTC Tun Hussein Onn Hall later @ 7.30pm to witness the pretty twins sing their heart n soul at the Jayesslee Live in KL showcase, an event organized by Dash Fusion / Creative Central. Fret not if you haven’t gotten your tickets because there will be at-the-door sales at the venue itself, RM120 per ticket!

MTV World Stage Malaysia 2011 rocked BIG time! This happening event was the talk of the town and finally it was held in the beautiful city of digital lights @ i-City Shah Alam.

The two-hour event filled with exhilarating line-ups such as performances by our very own but well-known local band, Pop Shuvit, the hot all-boy Korean band Beast, alternative rock band Neon Trees and of course, well-known American band Thirty Seconds To Mars. It was definitely impossible to feel bored even for a second! The energy brought by the hosts (VJ Holly and Utt) and performers made the atmosphere livelier and more exciting!

The band rocked the stage with songs from their new album, Cherry Blossom Love Affair.

Besides that, the band continued keeping the crowd on fire by performing a few other songs with Man Bai, Daly from Ahli Fiqir, Daniel Tanapon Supwattana and Jamir from Slapshock.

K-pop sensation, Beast got the crowd going on with their awesome dance skills.

Although it is said that there may be a language barrier, I could still hear fans humming along the lyrics of their songs! That’s how supportive we are.

With their front man, Tyler Glenn – Neon Trees made their live stage debut in this event.

One thing to be pointed out was their popular single “Animal”, often played by local radio stations, was sang along by most of everyone in the crowd.

The band performed favourites such as This Is War, King and Queens and also, Closer To The Edge.

I definitely had a great time being able to attend this event with my friends.
