MTV Europe Music Awards (EMA) 2011 was hosted by the multi-talented singer and actress, also the girlfriend of Justin Bieber (grr, damnit!), Selena Gomez (my oh-so-cute-teenage-crush haha!) The MTV EMA 2011 is packed with greatness as they manage to snag the likes of Justin Bieber, Lady Gaga, David Guetta, Bruno Mars, Coldplay, LMFAO, Red Hot Chilli Peppers, Jessie J, etc as performers and my teenage crush (Selena Gomez) as their awesome host for the night LIVE from Belfast, Ireland!

This year’s big winner at the MTV Europe Music Awards in Belfast was the incomparable Lady Gaga, bagging home four awards including Best Female, Best Song, Best Video for ‘Born This Way’ as well as Biggest Fans.

There’s never a dull moment at the MTV EMA! The lineup of amazing performers just keeps rolling as the likes of Red Hot Chili Peppers;  Snow Patrol; Justin Bieber; Selena Gomez and the Scene; David Guetta with Taio Cruz, Ludacris, and Jessie J; and our legendary Global Icon, Queen, featuring goosebump-inducing vocals by Adam Lambert.

This is also the first time that MTV EMA has a Worldwide Act category to showcase the biggest acts of each region. Fans will be able to vote for an artist/group within five different regions (Asia Pacific, North America, Latin America, Africa/India/Middle East and Europe). The nominee from each region with the most votes will then battle for the “Worldwide Act” distinction at the EMA show in Belfast. A big deserved congratulations to the VIPs, Big Bang! The K-Pop group bagged the award winning the other nominees such as Britney Spears (North America), Lena (Europe), Abdelfattah Grini (Africa/India/Middle East) and Restart (Latin America).

The other award winners ain’t small feat too, considering the many amazing artists who were up for the awards! Among some of the EMA winners were Lady Gaga, Canadian-pop singer Justin Bieber who had his new hairstyle displayed, the amazingly talented Bruno Mars, the ever-so-rocking band Thirty Seconds To Mars, and many more..

Just got back from Singapore, thanks MTV Asia for the hospitality throughout!

The hype had been going on for days… Youtube sensation duo, Janice & Sonia, also known as JAYESSLEE were down in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia on Wednesday night!

You’ve seen them on Youtube, you’ve seen them on other social media sites… now, you can see them LIVE in KL! In fact, the showcase is happening in another few more hours! Come on over to PWTC Tun Hussein Onn Hall later @ 7.30pm to witness the pretty twins sing their heart n soul at the Jayesslee Live in KL showcase, an event organized by Dash Fusion / Creative Central. Fret not if you haven’t gotten your tickets because there will be at-the-door sales at the venue itself, RM120 per ticket!

Hi, I love to eat! But as much as I eat loads everyday, I find it difficult for my body mass to grow…

(ugh, can someone provide me with express how-to-gain-fats method pls?!)

Now that I’m facing the difficulty of growing my body mass, it appears that we all (yes, not just me!) have a global issue to curb here… Food prices increase every season, they’re getting more n more expensive! I used to be able to buy chicken rice for RM3.00 last time, now it’s so difficult to find a RM3 chicken rice meal anymore. Price swings, upswings in particular, represent a major threat to food security in developing countries. Hardest-hit are the poort. In 2010, an estimated 925 million people in the world were hungry or malnourished. It’s pretty sad to hear that everyday there are more than 25,000 people around the world die of hunger-related causes.

Recognizing this issue, the Taylor’s Education Group (TEG) pledged to contribute one million meals to feed the hungry, in conjunction with the World Food Day as part of its CSR project. The TEG World Food Day 2011 took place simultaneously across four campuses – Sri Garden Schools, Taylor’s College Subang Jaya, Taylor’s College Sri Hartamas, as well as my beloved Taylor’s University Lakeside Campus. More than 4,000 volunteers turned up last Sunday for the charity cause event, contributing their time and effort for the benefit of the hungry all over the world.

The Multipurpose Hall of Taylor’s Lakeside Campus was divided into different stations in order to increase productivity. Basically what we need to do was filling up the bags with dried food, checking on the quality and sealing the bags, as well as counting and packing the bags into boxes to be sent out. We know that this ain’t some kinda awesome party or whatnot; however with the upbeat music, loud encouraging cheers and happy people with smiles kept the hall going ‘crazy’ for a good purpose!

I can’t help but to be proud of saying that I’m part of the large pool of TEG volunteers along with some of my classmates that day to pack food for the hungry!

With all the volunteers from all walks of life working hard on a Sunday, we’re all proud to say that we’ve done our goodwill to pack 1 million meal packets within a day! In fact from what I heard, it was 1 million meals within 8 hours of hard work! Awesome job everyone, especially Taylor’s Education Group (TEG) for organizing this charity cause campaign!

The finished food packs were then distributed to crisis-burdened areas or school feeding programs locally as well as around the globe including Somalia.
